Just touched down LCCT @ 2:05am 3 April 2010. Reached home @ 4am & slept @ 5am. ~ TIRED ~ . I was so tired until I couldn’t recognize the road back to my house. So sorry to Mei Ling. The flight was delayed for almost 2 hrs. Took off from Baiyun International Airport @ 10:15pm. Actually we departed from Guang Zhou town around 4pm. In fact, we took some time to get a taxi. Reached airport around 5pm I guess. Can’t really remember the exact time. We shopped around in the airport for a while before collect our luggage from the luggage storage. Check in process started around 6:10pm and the moment we got into the boarding area was 8:10pm.. Woo… damn tired…. Another bad thing of the trip last night was all the meal were sold out.. Haih~

So, I was at China last week for 5 days 5 nights. It was quite a rushed trip. I was a bit nervous as I did not prepare well before the trip. Just to clarify, I passed by Guang Zhou only. My biz trip was @ Foshan.

Day 0

We landed @ Guang Zhou Baiyun International Airport around 8:30pm and took a bus from the airport to Foshan. Then, met up with Mr H @ Foshan bus station and headed to our hotel which we thought is “seven stars” hotel. In fact, is a hotel named as “seven days”. The pronunciation of “seven days” & “seven stars” in Cantonese is a bit similar. Frankly speaking, we were a little bit disappointed. 7DaysInn situated all over China. It’s kind of economy hotel. Overall, the hotel is good, cheap & the service is good. BUT, the mattress is too hard for me. Slept after heavy dinner. Oh no~ FAT!

Day 1

We started our work on 29 March 2010. I woke up around 7:15 & had breakfast @ the hotel restaurant. It’s a healthy breakfast. RMB 7 for 3 man tou + 1 banana + 1 hard boiled egg + free flow of porridge & soy milk. ~ damn cheap. Nothing much could share for my working part. We returned to hotel after lunch and started our leisure time. Shopped around in Foshan. In between, we spent sometime for dessert.

However, we couldn’t get taxi to back to hotel. So, we decided to take the motobike taxi. My first time experience motorbike taxi. Err… I guess that will be the first and the last time for me. damn scary… haha… the funny thing is that 4 of us took different motorbike & I’m the only one managed to get back to our hotel as the other three were lost somewhere.. Nearly forgot about the poon-choi dinner. I missed out the poon-choi photo anyway~ My first time as well. Then, we went for foot massage (沐足) after dinner. A great experience for me too.

Day 2

Started our day after dim sum breakfast @ Grand de Cafe.

Meeting for the whole day. Anyway, we had great meal all day long, and a memorable one too. Even now that I’m back in Malaysia, I would occasionally fondly remember the sashimi I had at the Golden Boat Restaurant. Truly yum yum. I tried the snake meat here as well.. but it’s not my liking anyway.

Day 3

Meeting for the whole day as well. Again… good food came along. Karaoke session end our day three in Foshan. Oh yeah, Visited Century Lotus Stadium today. Felt so proud of that.. huhu…

I was step on the football field of Century Lotus Stadium.

Dinner @ 168 美食.. Basically is steamboat for me.. hoho.. The wine look nice but not taste nice..

Day 4

Fourth day, last day in Foshan. Light and easy day of the trip. Woke up around 10am and enjoyed breakfast @ the restaurant nearby ~ 粥家庄.

Visited Temple of the Ancestors (佛山祖庙). Admission fee ~ RMB 20. Some history to share about this temple ~

The Temple of the Ancestors dates originally from the second half of the 11th C, and was restored in 1372 following a fire. It is dedicated to the God of the North, Ruler of the Waters. Although the Chinese name ”祖庙” means ”Temple of the Ancestors”, this simply indicates that it is the oldest temple in town, “the ancestor of temples”. The rich ceiling decoration with many figures is its most interesting feature. The complex covers an area of 3000sq.m/32,300sq.ft and includes the following buildings: the portico (Qian Dian), the main hall (Zheng Dian), the Festival Hall of Truth (Qingzhen Lou), the Pond of Scented Brocade (Jinxiang Chi) and the Theatre of a Thousand Good Fortunes (Wanfu Tai) which is decorated with gilded carvings. In the walled pond in front of the portico there is a stone turtle with a snake, the symbols of the god of the North. At one time performances were held in the theater, which is decorated with gilded carvings.

Before this, we actually went to Thai style hair wash. Quite special as we were lay down during the hair wash. The hair wash is only RMB10 and add another RMB5 for fringe haircut.

Jing Yi & me dropped by @ 人信甜品店 for dessert after Temple of the Ancestors visit.
Day 5

It was to be our last day here and the flight was 8:35pm. We headed to GuangZhou airport after great dim sum breakfast @ 海悦. Taking into account the check in time and travel to airport, we only have a few hours left in Guang Zhou town. We kept our luggage @ the luggage storage in airport and headed to Guang Zhou town for a short walk. Anyway, we only managed to walk around World Trade Center. As I only have a short time here in Guang Zhou, still, there are lots of places I miss. Hope I can come again~

The panda is boarding soon.. huhu.. this panda is not mine anyway.. is belongs to Jing Yi.. haha..

After all, it ain’t exactly a leisure trip for me. The only thing I can say for this trip is this is a 山珍海味 trip for me. Experience a lot of new things during the trip. And, I put on weight quite a bit these days.

Oh my god~ I’m boarding tomorrow @ 1610 hrs BUT nothing is been prepared. Even my presentation script is not ready yet. Still waiting the script from my colleague. We only realize there is no translator for us in China…Got this news on Thursday… Oh my god~ Oh my god~

My first Business Trip @ iK. Basically no excitement at all. In fact, I am nervous. This trip has been postponed since Nov 2009 and is confirmed one month ago. As my boss told me, this is only an exposure trip for the China market. BUT, damn tension.

My itinerary for the trip ~

The weather is just nice. Not that hot I guess. In fact, the day time temperature is about the same as in Malaysia.

Nothing much to share for the preparation of the trip as nothing is been prepared yet. But really have to pray for the trip. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.Wish me luck!

At nite, had gathering with all Joo’s Ji Mui @ After 3 Cafe for a short discussion for the games on Joo’s wedding day.

Anyway, cookies taste nice. the bottom didn’t turn out as expected. Probably because overbaked the with bottom heat I guess.

First Trip of the Year 2010 ~ Malacca. Went down to Malacca during New Year weekend (1 – 2 Jan 2010). Never back to Malacca for quite some times. A memorable place for all of us ~ Ex- MMU student.

6 of us met up @ Chong Ghee house on 1 Jan 8++ in the morning. Expected, Chen Hoong & I were late. Had dim sum breakfast @ Loong Seng SS2 before we departure. NBE2288 & WEP5666 departured from SS2 around 10am. hoho.. Boon Koon is really a good driver.. drive @ the speed of 70-80km/h. Stopped by @ Seremban around 11am to get some mattress & pillows from Chen Hoong house. It’s about lunch time. But all of us were still quite full with the heavy breakfast this morning. So, we decided to have simple lunch ~ Siew Pow. The most famous food in Seremban… Went to ‘Empayar Seremban Siew Pow‘ for the first time. Err.. not as what I expected. We bought some Siew Pow & kaya puff then ordered some drinks.

Started our journey to Malacca around 12:30pm. Arrived @ Malacca around 3pm. Yes.. First stop of the trip was our memorable place ~ Multimedia University. Never back to MMU since we graduated. About 4 and the half year. Realized MMU didn’t really well maintain. Not as nice as it was 5 years ago. Found back lots of memory here. Took some photo here & had a great chat here too.

Thereafter, we move on to Kai Ying House @ Bukit Baru. Woo… it’s big & nice house. Had a short rest here before proceeded to Jonker Street. Wanted to eat Ice Kacang & Nyonya food here. Oh gosh, Jonker 88 already finished selling. Damn disappointed. So, we went to the shop next to it. Err… the taste is so so only compared to Jonker 88. We ordered ABC, Cendol, Assam Laksa, Nyonya Laksa, Wan Tan Mee & Rendang Chicken Wantan Mee. It came up to RM24.50 for food & RM14.4 for dessert (Not sure whether I remembered correctly). I can say only give 4 marks out of 10 for the taste. Jonker 88 is strongly recommended if you visit Jonker Street. Didn’t really strolling through the street as the street is really crowded. Thus, we decided to left this crowded place and headed to our next destination ~ Eye on Malaysia. Oh yeah.. Eye on Malaysia was moved to Malacca since last year. Stopped by @ 7-Eleven to grab some strepsils for Chen Hoong. hoho… Chen Hoong is sore troat already.

Wow.. it’s really jam @ the town area. We just passed by the Eye on Malaysia and took some photos from far. Then, we just walked to River Cruise. Another new tourist spot in Malacca. Decided to take a ride @ River Cruise. RM10 for 45mins. It’s worth. Can say as ‘Venice of the East‘. Lots of bridges along the riverbank. Started from Tan Kim Seng Bridge, Followed by Chan Koon Cheng Bridge. Then Kg. Jawa Bridge, Pasar Bridge and then Hang Tuah Bridge. I guess the scenery would be a nice one if you take the ride during sunset.

After the boat ride, walked towards Taming Sari Tower for photo shooting. It’s cost RM20.00 for foreigner, RM10 for Malaysian, RM5 for children. Since all of us were not interested to take a ride. Thus we left here & headed to the last destination of the day ~ The Jetty.

This Jetty never meant for boats or ship to dock. The name Jetty because it is physically looked like a Jetty and it is extended far toward the sea, the Straits of Melaka. A complex nicely situated between Mahkota Hotel and Holiday Inn. I guess it’s a new place that starting to be a famous nightspot for Melakans to eat and to get amusement. Had a drink @ Lounge Cafe before end our day 1 in Malacca. Cheers~

Day 2 ~ woke up around 8:30. Planned to have dim sum breakfast @ one of the famous dim sum in Malacca. BUT, Kai Ying mom already prepared breakfast for us. So, we canceled that dim sum breakfast. Decided to go to Zoo Melaka.. haha… Zoo Melaka was never in itinerary for this trip actually.. haha… RM7 per pax. If not mistaken I went to this Zoo 6 years ago, it’s only RM4 per pax. But can’t remember well about the Zoo 6 years ago. The only thing I can comment here is that variety of Deer available in this Zoo. In fact, all looks the same for me..

Left Zoo around 1:15pm and it’s time to fill up our stomach. Since kai Ying mom already prepare steamboat for us @ home. Thus, we decided to have Cendol @ Tan Kim Hock before we go back. Tried the Cendol for the first time. Thumb Up! It’s nice..

One peculiar thing here is that you need to buy a coupon at the counter before you claim your cendol at a counter outside. Only 2 types of Cendol available here ~ Coconut Cendol (RM3.00) & Durian Cendol(RM5.00). Kai Ying said the Durian Cendol is nice but non of us tried that. so can’t really comment on that. The Coconut Cendol is really nice~.. Did some biscuit shopping here before headed home.

Ended this Malacca trip with Steamboat at Kai Ying House. Yummy yummy! Special Thanks to Kai Ying Parents~

Forgot to mention about the Tomyam soup for the steamboat. Now I only realize is just add the Instant Tomyam to the soup. hoho.. I can try next time..

P/S: Waiting for Alan 7-seater car for our next trip… hooray~

It’s island day today ~ Yeah!

Had simple breakfast in the hotel before heading to island hoping. We went to the Underwater World as the hotel receptionist told me there are lots of island hoping services available there with different price. They offered RM40 per pax at first. After hard bargain, we managed to get RM30 per pax. BUT, after that I realize another group were charged @ RM85 for 3 persons. Anyway, we started our island hopping @ 0930. It’s included 3 islands ~ Island of The Pregnant Maiden, Eagle Island and Beras Basah Island.

Our first stop was Island of The Pregnant Maiden. it’s took about 30 minutes boat trip to reach the destination. Then about 15 minutes walk through the forest reserve before we reached the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden (Tasik Dayang Bunting). Lots of monkey along the way~ Again, there is some mysterious pass about this Island. Its about the legend of a lovely fairy princess who married an earthly prince and her first child died shortly after birth. She was so sad & depressed that she buried the child in the crystal clear waters of the lake. Before she returned to her celestrial abode, she blessed the waters so that any childless maiden who bathed in the lake would conceive thereafter.

Some lake activities available here as well ~ Solar Boat (RM30 for 1/2 hrs motorized/automatic 2 adults & 1 child), Paddle Boat (RM15 for 1/2 hrs manual 2 person) & Canoe (RM15 for 1/2 hrs 2 person). However, we didn’t go to any activity as mentioned above as my parents were not interested. Well, they enjoyed the Catfish Massage here. We spend about 1 hour here before heading to the second stop ~ Eagle Island.

We reached the Eagle island after 15 minutes boat-trip. The boat entered a small cove and then circled the cove while revving its noisy engine. I was expecting to see lots sea-eagles circling the beautiful sky – in a magnificent dance. However, its too bad not much sea-eagles came out.. I think only 10 of them. As the guide told us, Only female eagles will come out @ this time, the male eagle will come out in the afternoon to hunt for food. Anyway, nothing special here for me.

Thereafter, we proceeded to our last destination ~ Beras Basah Island. Oh yeah… it’s a beach. Well, we were hungry. I bought some soft drink here. RM2 per can. It’s consider cheap. Then our simple lunch here was soft drink + buns. We brought the bun ourself as no food was selling here. We walk along the beach after food. There are some water sport activities available here such parasailing, banana boat & etc.. The parasailing was charged @ RM100 per round. Wow.. it’s expensive. ‘Kill People Put Fire‘ (杀人放火） I still remember Penang 1 is only RM45 per round. I didn’t go for any water sports here as I came with two old folks. Those activities is not suitable for them anyway. We spend around 1 hour here. Luckily, the weather was warm and sunny today. The whole trip ended at about 2pm.

We drove back to Underwater World. Err.. we didn’t visit the Underwater World as the Hotel Receptionist told me ‘KL 1 lagi best‘. Thus, I decided to skip this tourist spot. Spend some time here for lunch & duty free shop shopping. Oh gosh! DOM is selling @ RM74 only. I bought @ the price of RM85 free 2 small bottle of Vodca which selling @ the price of RM8 per bottle. AND Jack Daniel was selling RM55 only. I bought @ the price of RM65 @ Teoh Soon Huat. OMG~ Anyway, I managed to find ‘Almond Gold’ chocolate that was requested by Reb. hoho… Bought 6 packs of Almond Gold Chocolate & 1 18yrs Chivas here.

The moment we wanted to leave the duty free shop. The weather suddenly changed. OMG… It’s raining…. So, we just drove back to hotel and decided to continue with next tourist spot around 5pm. As planned, we headed to the Panorama Langkawi Cable Car around 5pm. Search for Petrol Station along the way again. OMG..OMG.. OMG… The Cable Car was close due to BAD WEATHER. So, no choice, we just hanged around in Oriental Village. I planned to go to the Cable Car the next morning actually but my dad doesn’t want to as he scared if the weather suddenly changed & we will be trap upstairs. SO, we skip this again. FYI, the cable car ride was RM30 per pax. After the Oriental Village visit. We went to the big ‘Pasar Malam‘ that situated @ Padang Lalang. Wow… it’s so much different from the pasar malam we went the day before. Lots of food selling here. The food is really very cheap. You can get one Ramli burger @ RM1 only. As usual, mostly spicy food which is not to my liking. BUT, my parents likes spicy food. We end our day here by some food from pasar malam.

Last Day ~ We had breakfast @ the Transit Cafe @ the Hotel. Set breakfast available here. I ordered 2 set of Nasi Lemak Set for my parents & 1 Western Breakfast set for myself. The set come with 1 Teh Tarik/Orange Juice. Tea/Coffee is served with FOC here. After that, We took a drive around the island, burning off whatever fuel we’ve got left.

Ops.. nearly forgot about Gamat Factory visit. Last destination @Langkawi Island. Now only I realize gamat is the Malay word of sea cucumber and it refers to medicinal remedies made from any of several species of the animal. We stopped by @ the Gamat Factory because we saw lots of tourist bus here. So we guess this is one of the tourist spot in Langkawi. All the stuff made from Gamat available here! A great place for you to learn more about gamat. We browsed through the shop but didn’t buy anything.

The visit to the Gamat Factory concludes our trip @ Langkawi.

Some notes to add on here. You need to pay for all Public Toilet in Langkawi. Minimum 30 cents. Some places like Island of the Pregnant Maiden you need to pay for 50 cents. Gosh~ I’m a toilet queen, I’m not sure how much I have spend on toilet per day. The toilet is very dirty.

It’s been a while that i never update my blog here…Too busy lately ~

Anyway, I just back from Langkawi for 3 days 3 nights (16 – 19 Dec 2009) trip with my parents. Actually this is a trip for my parents. They had been so busy with my sis wedding for the pass few months. This trip is just for them to relax. Okay.. back to the topic. Why is it 3 days 3 nights? Again, AirAsia spoiled my initial plan. I supposed to jet off from LCCT @ 2115 on 16 Dec. BUT, the flight was delayed for 2 hours. You guys must wonder why I wanted to fly @ night, because wanted to save $$ & I wanted to start my journey early morning. Actually I wanted to do web check-in. Again, lousy AA gave me system error.

Second attempt for Web Check-in

The flight was rescheduled to 2235 for the first time. Thus, we started our journey from KL Sentral @ 2045 after I met up with my parents there. We reached LCCT around 2200 and we only realize the flight was delayed again. This time the flight was rescheduled to 2325. We checked in & spend our time @ Old Town White Coffee. The flight departed from LCCT sharp @ 2325 & took 1 hour to reach Langkawi. Then, we walked to the pre-booked hotel which situated next to Airport. (Roughly 3 minutes walk). Checked in to Hotel Helang & settled down ourself. I think the time we went on bed around 1am in the morning. damn tired~

Wonder why no post is mentioning about this trip. Well, not much preparation were done for this trip as this trip just decided 2 weeks ago. My first time booked the “Go Holiday” package which include Flight & Hotel. 2 person for only RM610. It’s consider cheap since I’m not early bird for the ticket booking. Then, I booked another ticket for myself which cost RM200. So, total is RM810 (3 air ticket + 3 night hotel).

Our journey started around 9am on 17 Dec. Well, the first thing is to rent a car. As I know, lots of car rental services available @ Airport, thus, 3 of us walked to the airport and hunt for a cheap and good car. The car rental is quite expensive as itis peak season now. We managed to get Proton Iswara @ RM 180 for 2 days. (The cheapest car we could get).

We begin our sightseeing tour @ Kuah Town itself. The first thing we wanted to do was pump petrol because the petrol indicator was FLASHING!!!!, BUT, we couldn’t find any petrol station along the way to the town. Since we already reached jetty point so we just parked our car and headed to the Eagle Square (Dataran Lang), the landmark of Langkawi. Wow, the weather was so hot, we quickly hide ourselves in the jetty point shopping center after a few shots @ the Eagle Square.

Had lunch @ the KFC before headed to the second shopping center ~ Teoh Soon Huat. Eee…nearly forgot about the petrol. haha… we started to hunt for petrol station again after we left jetty point. Oh well, we managed to get the Petronas Petrol Station & pump RM15 petrol.

We hanged around for about 2 hours in Teoh Soon Huat Duty Free Shopping Center. grab some chocolates & liquors here. huhu..Bought 7 boxes of Ferrero Rocher here. But some of the box is spoiled when reach KL. Feel So sorry to Reb. haha.. spend RM527.4 here… Since the weather is so hot, thus, we decided to back to the hotel for a short rest. My parents took a short nap too. After tea break, we went to another destination ~ Makam Mahsuri. Another main attraction of Langkawi which situated west from Kuah town. We followed the Makam Mahsuri road sign which take us to the rural countryside surrounded by paddy fields before we arrived Makam Mahsuri, the grave of the island’s legendary heroine. Being the island’s most popular legend, this tomb/shrine is to Langkawi what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. The entrance fee is RM5 per pax for Malaysian.

Tried the Kueh Deram for the first timehere. Selling @ RM2 per pack (8 pcs). Yummy yummy ~

Last, we headed to the Thursday Pasar Malam. I’m not sure whether we got the correct Pasar Malam or not because there are only a few stalls that selling cloth & food. We spend less than 5 minutes in the Pasar Malam I guess. Then, it’s time to hunt for food. We stopped by @ one Chinese Restaurant for simple dinner.

We dropped by @ Cenang Supermarket to grab some bread for breakfast the next day. This end our first day in Langkawi & get ready for an island day the following day.

Holiday again? Yes, I was in Singapore for a short trip last week. The first time I FLY to Singapore from KL.

Since this is not the first time I visit this country, hence, I’m not gonna to detail out the whole journey, instead, I would like to share the new thing I experience through out the journey. A short update about the trip.

Lets start with the yummy Bean Curd Tart from Le Cafe Confectionery & Pastry. Definitely, a healthier alternative of egg tarts. Believe me, you will impressed by that yummy innovation of the tart ~ Silky smooth soya bean filling, encased in a thin cup of delicious pastry. It’s really yummy when served chilled.

Variety of bean curd tarts available. My bro bought 1 box of 8 mixed bean curd tarts & 1 box of original bean curd tarts (SGD8 per box). Mixed bean curd tarts includes the Original flavor, Grass Jelly, Longan, Gingko Nut & White Fungus, Peanuts, Red beans and Egg White.

The shop is famous for its golf ball pineapple tarts too.

Then, come to the Escalator that would bring you to 4th floor directly. I have been told that this is the Longest Escalator in Singapore at the moment.

Next, New shopping center in Orchard ~ ION Orchard. hehe.. I saw Singapore Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong here.

Lets turn our focus to Costa Sands Resort @ Downtown East. I was told that this is a popular choice holiday destination for Singaporeans. We stayed here @ room A1122 through out the holiday.

Lots of facilities available in the Resort. More than 300 BBQ pits in the Resort. Side and bottom see through panels five-lane 50m swimming pool and children’s pool is available here as well. There is a cinema (Cathay), bowling centre, K Box and indoor children playground – eXplorerkid available in E!hub. 25m tall indoor ferris wheel available here too.

A world-class theme park & largest water park is also available in the Resort. Since I do not have much time to explore the resort, I guess I’ll probably go there for one more round.

We had BBQ for my bro ROM celebration here on 29 Aug 2009.

Congratulations to Chee Yung & Hui Lin for their Registry of Marriages on 28 Aug 2009 1:45pm. A memorable moment for everyone.

Wedding ring that symbolizes eternity & endlessness love for both of them.

P/S : Even though this is a short trip, I still managed to grab 2 pairs of new shoes.

Yes, we going back today. Again, we had breakfast on our own in the room ~ Nescafe + Bread. In fact, the bread is not that nice either. But I guess it is still better than the hotel breakfast.

Mr Lu picked us up from the hotel around 8:30am to airport. This concluded our holiday in Guilin ~ Yangshuo. Actually there are still many places that is not covered in this trip, thus, I guess I would prefer free and easy tour for next visit..

Put on mask again & prepare to fly off soon ~

Our meal on the flight for the day ~ Nasi Lemak with Sambal Sotong (RM 9) + Lipton Green Tea (RM5). Actually we wanted Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak & Orange juice. BUT, we were so lucky, both item is not available. SO, to avoid disappointment, Pre-book your meal on AirAsia and you can save up to 20%.

We arrived @ LCCT around 3:20pm. We took aerobus back to KL which cost RM8 per trip. I met up with my sis in KL Sentral to get our car key & then GO HOME…

Some advice for those who hold this Guilin/YangShuo voucher… You guys actually can arrange the optional tour by yourself. The price is cheaper and there are more optional tour available in YangShuo where you can arrange yourself with the agency in Guilin/YangShuo. Anyway, Guilin & YangShuo is a nice place to visit. Nice Scenery..

3rd day of the trip ~ consider the last day of the trip. We didn’t go for hotel breakfast this morning. Err.. not interested with the breakfast as we have been told that the breakfast would be porridge again. Simple breakfast with a cup of Nescafe & bread start our day.

The tour guard supposed to picked us up @ 10:30am as he promised. BUT, Mr Lu (haha.. the tour guard changed back to Mr Lu again) came to hotel & picked us up 1 hour earlier. Haih.. he ruin our initial plan. Actually we planned to grab some souvenir near the hotel before we left Yang Shuo that morning.

Anyway, we left hotel around 9:30am & started our morning activity @ Yang Shuo ~ 十里画廊. From the hotel, Mr Lu drive us towards Moon Hill which located about 8km south of Yangshuo. You may hire a bike & cycle down to get to Moon Hill （月亮山）. Along the way, we passed by 幼狮出林，驼骆过江，唐僧打坐，猪八戒晒太阳，孙悟空过火焰山， 羊角山..

FYI, There are several other ways to reach Moonhill, all go through the local padifields but end up in front of Moonhill on the main road. There is an entrance fee of RMB15, and includes a guarded parking space for your bicycle. Although the path is not difficult, it takes about 30 to 40 minutes slow walk up. You can walk up to the hole in the rock and have some good views over the surrounding karst mountains. Anyway, this is not included in our tour.

Then, we headed back to Guilin. We passed by 拇指山 along the way.

We reached Guilin around 11:30am and it’s time for lunch again.

After that, we went to 同仁堂 which located opposite the restaurant for food massage. Again, this is one of the shopping point for the tour. We went to 宝树堂 & 天阔珠宝 (Freesky Pearls) after that. I got a pair of earnings from Freesky Pearls which cost RMB25.

Oh yes, thank god. All shopping point visiting is done. It’s our leisure time now. We headed to Zhenyang Gate Walking Street (正阳步行街) which located in the downtown of Guilin city paralleled the Zhong Shan Road. This street surrounded by restaurants, hotels, theatres, stadiums, commercial facilities and scenic spots. Slightly the same as the West Street in Yangshuo. BUT, more fashion shop available here.

Had tea break @ MC-D around 5pm before we met up with Mr Lu.

We got a pair of cute couple-T from this Shop which cost RMB68 each.

We met up with Mr Lu around 6:10pm and headed to Dinner. We told him we had our tea break and we still full. However, he said is already booked, so no choice, we have to go also. . Again, it’s normal local chinese meal. Same restaurant again & the dish is similar.

We proceeded to our last activity of the trip ~ Catching Fish Show （鱼鹰捉鱼表演） ~ Passed By Two Rivers & Four Lakes （车夜游两江四湖）.

I felt the Catching Fish show is quite boring. It’s not worth for the price I paid.

We end our day by Two Rivers & Four Lake sightseeing. The Two Rivers Four lakes is a park-like scenic area. As the name suggests it consists of two rivers and four lakes. The two rivers are the Li River and Taohua (Peach Blossom) River. The four lakes are the Rong (banyan tree) Lake, Shan (Chinese fir) Lake, Gui (Osmanthus tree) Lake, and the Mulong (Wooden dragon) Lake. Rong Lake, Shan lake & Gui Lake named after trees that grow along their banks and the Mulonghu Lake is named after the Mulong Cave which overlooks the lake which located in Guilin’s Diecai Hill Park.

We grab some Osmanthus biscuit @ souvenir shop the night before we left Guilin.
