Seoul Seoul Seoul~ Big City! Great place for Cosmetic shopping..
If you ask me anything special in Seoul?
I would say… CHEAP cosmetic…haha…
For cloth.. I can’t comment much because it’s winter season..
so I didn’t really shop for the cloth..

We spend total 4 days in Seoul..
2 days city tour + shopping..
1 day ski and another 1 day at DMZ..

Highlight of the tour~ DMZ! ~ Highly recommended tour in Korea..
This tour cost us 43000won each person…
I won’t say it’s 100% safe.. but I can say it’s NOT dangerous and interesting..
Tell you the truth.. I only know what is DMZ ever since I went to Korea..Thanks CH for this..
DMZ is the Korean Demilitarized Zone (韓半島非武裝地帶) ~ a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between North and South Korea which runs along the 38th parallel north.
The DMZ cuts the Korean Peninsula roughly in half, crossing the 38th parallel on an angle, with the west end of the DMZ lying south of the parallel and the east end lying north of it.
It is 250 kilometres (160 miles) long, approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) wide and is the most heavily militarized border in the world.
The Northern Limit Line, or NLL, is the de facto maritime boundary between North and South Korea in the Yellow Sea and the coastline and islands on both sides of the NLL are also heavily militarized.

For Ski, we chose Jisan Ski Resort..
Err… frankly speaking.. I don’t really enjoy Beginner ski there..
The space is too small and it’s BORING..
I MISS NEW ZEALAND SKI!!!!!

This room is a little bit too small.. it would be better to take double room if you travel in 2 person…

Again.. it’s an unplanned trip…
Don’t really like to plan for a trip ever since I went to NZ..
Just feel wanted to make it easy… 顺其自然..

9d8n trip… Err… Should say 8d8n…
Because we departure from KL at 5Feb 11pm.. reached Seoul around 6 in the morning..
Then came back on 13 Feb 8:30am.. so should consider as 8d8n..

Let’s start~
Generally, we spend 3days @ Jeju and back to Seoul on the 4th day and spend another 4days in Seoul and came back on the 8th day.
Jeju…Friendly suggestion~ it’s better to join a tour in Jeju..
Either local bus tour or any taxi tour will do..
It is because the transportation is not convenient..
BUT.. taxi tour is not that cheap 150,000won for 1 day (English speaking tour guide).. roughly RM420 per day..
It would be a good choice if you travel in 4 person..
We didn’t take the taxi tour because we felt that is quite expensive for 2 of us..
That’s why we decided to take public transport on out own..
Basically we just walk around our hotel area and went to Teddy Bear Museum & Ichubong Peak..

Teddy Bear Museum… MUST GO place for me in Korea…
hehe… Of course.. is MUST GO place for all teddy bear lover
You can bring some back if you want but it’s very very expensive.
Thus, I only bring back 1 small bear as souvenir for myself.

Seongsan Ichubong Peak… Very nice scenery and the most important thing is we experience first snowing in Korea here at Ichubong Peak…
Eventhough this is not the first time i’m experience snowing but i’m still very excited..
Sound a bit ‘suaku’ BUT believe me… u really will feel very excited and happy when u experience snowing..
Well, Make yourself experience snowing at least once in your life!

第二次重游墨尔本。。
新的体验。。很不错。。
而且。。特别的是这次我的超级好友薇蒂从马来西亚飞到墨尔本会我哦。。
我们终于一起旅行咯。。
认识她15年。。我们第一次一起旅行。。超开心的。。
只是她来的时间太短了。。
严格来说只有4天。。
我本身就在这待了8天。。

说到墨尔本真的很不好意思。。
之前买了便宜机票从悉尼飞往墨尔本。。
还记得当hui ping看到我的itinerary时第一个反应是。。
~Ling,you bought a ticket at a very cheap price with a very good reason..do you know why? Coz u arrive at the airport very far away from Melbourne. Could take 1 1/2 hrs from my place~
Oh Gosh~我不是故意的。。真不好意思勒~
更遭的是飞机delay。。哎~
害他们等了我30分钟。。
载了我之后我们到St Kilda的一间pub用餐。。
他们还没吃晚餐啊~晕！
在Hui Ping家住了两天后才到二姑家。。
呵呵。。HP的两位小公主超可爱。。
好喜欢她们噢。。还会唱中文歌给我听叻。。可爱吧~
每天睡醒都有一杯latte在餐桌上。。好幸福噢。。

其实薇蒂和Calvin到墨尔本之前我也没做什么。。
只是跟HP在市区走走。。
享受一下当地人的生活。。
还跟二姑和二姑丈到Senior Club。。
嘿嘿~真的是很好的经验。。

和WT&Calvin的四天之旅也没有很冲忙。。
因为不想把自己搞得太累。。
基本上花了三天在市区。。
一天在Great Ocean Road。。

这次是跟旅行团到Great Ocean Road & 12 Apostles。。AUD69。。
我觉得还蛮值得的。。
因为路程遥远。。
自己驾车的话还蛮辛苦的。。
大约早上7时从Glen Waverley出发。。
回到来已经是晚上8点了。。
而且超幸运的是我们竟然遇到一只迷路的树熊。。
导游说他在这行九年了第一次遇到的哦。。幸运吧~
呵呵~特别强调这晚WT&Calvin终于吃到满足的一餐~中餐。。
这是辛苦他们了~

四天虽然很短。。
但也尝试了不少当地食物。。
哈哈。。蒂说她应该不能在那生存。。因为不习惯那里的食物。。

一个人飞到悉尼。。
呵呵。。在悉尼这四天。。
重复最多的一句话就是:’Can you help me to take photo please?’。。
哈哈。。同一句话说闷了。。还会换一下。。:’Do you mind to help me take 1 photo?’。。
一个人旅行最大的问题就是没有photographer。。
除非有带tripod。。
我没带。。没办法。。就要叫路人帮我拍照。。
可是很多时候拍不到你想要的。。

其实一个人旅行没想像中那么难。。
而且很free。。
想做什么就做什么。。
基本上我的悉尼之旅是依心情而行。。
没有特别计划。。
不想走得太远就在市中心走走。。
喜欢的地方还可以去多几次。。
想抱树熊就去Wildlife Park。。
也去了Blue Mountain。。
。。想说还是纽西兰的风景比较美。。

当我回到奥克兰。。
回到我6个月前到达的第一站。。
回到一个人旅行。。
我知道。。是时候回到现实世界。。
过去的6个月就像发了一场美梦。。
感谢在这美梦里出现的每一个人。。
我会想念你们的。。
有机会的话再聚一聚吧~
这半年里。。经历了很多事。。
如果我说完全没有挫折是假的啦。。
也有彷徨的时候。。
只是我还算蛮幸运。。
没有遭受到很多困难。。
哈哈。。因为常常有贵人相助。。
从北岛到南岛。。再从南岛到北岛。。
从换宿到工作到环岛旅行。。

I quit my potato job about 2 weeks ago.. 23 Oct..
Fly from Christchurch to Auckland and met up with my cousin..
We traveled together for 9 days..
It’s such a fruitful trip..
A lot of new experience~ Cave tubing, glow worm, Tongariro Crossing, Maori Concert, Maori traditional food ~ Hangi, kiwi farm, largest kiwi pack house, thermal park..
Oh yeah~ sound interesting right?

Again~ we rented a car from Ace Rental..
But.. This time is very much more expensive..
It’s cost us NZD438 for 8 days..
However.. It’s still more convenient to travel by car..
AND.. I drive again which I thought I won’t drive in NZ anymore when I return my car after my South island trip 1 month ago..
Anyway.. I only drive for couple of hours.. 98% of the journey drive by Hang..
Hehe.. Thanks for be my driver..

Hang picked me up from Auckland airport and we heading to Waitomo right after that..
Wanted to catch up the Cave Tubing time..
Well, we arrived earlier than expected..
Cave Tubing also known as Black Water Rafting..
The concept is quite similar to White water rafting..
The only difference is that we did that in the cave..
And we are using a tube instead of boat..
The best part of this activity is the amazing growworm display on the vaulted limestone galleries above….
Just imaging watching star in a cave..
It’s amazing.. Just like a milky way in the cave..
It’s so beautiful.. COOL~
I should say you can only feel it when u try.. Hehe..
3 hours activity cost NZD119..
Wetsuit, booties, cave helmet and light, goofy boots and cave raft is supplied..and enjoy got bagel & hot soup after the cave adventure~ oh yeah!
Sound enjoy right? YES~ it’s enjoyable & awesome.. Thumb Up!

We carry on our journey to New Plymouth after that and stay overnight there..

Huhu…I’m away from town surrounded by cow and sheep for 1 week..
NO cellphone service…BUT.. we have internet here…FUNNY eh~
It’s really countryside… remind me on my dad hometown~ Beliong..
The only difference is this place is full of Cow and Sheep…
Mooo~ Mekkkk~ ^^

And the milk we drink is direct from Cow.. Sound interesting right? hehe..

Actually I’m doing exchange here for 1 week..
where I’ll work for the host around 4 hours per day and they provide me with accommodation and food..
We call this Help Exchange or Woofing…
A great opportunity for you to experience the life at countryside and stay with a kiwi family..

To be accurate.. I work for 5 days only..
Arrived at Whakatane on 3 Nov morning from Gisborne around 10am..
My host, Rob picked me up from the bus station and then went for a cup of coffee..
hehe… scroll around the town before back to their house at countryside..
Err.. Of course the job at countryside is not fantastic..
but it’s quite interesting and I do different things everyday..
Transfer firewood.. some gardening..washing dishes…

Haha… the best things is the food provided is really good & yummy…
Ops… nearly forget… this place call Waimana.. hehe..

这份工是9月19日开始。。
就我辞掉上一份工刚好一个月。。
第一个星期工作还不太稳定。。
就只做了三天。。
第二个星期工作开始稳定。。
我被分到早班。。早上六点到下午两点。。
嗯。。老实说太短了啦。。
两点就回家未免太早了啦。。
第三个星期工作时间稍微长一点。。就到两点三十分。。
但。。还是太早啦。。
希望过后能延长工作时间。。
希望来个一天12个小时。。

同样的。。这里也有smoko&lunch。。
就每两个小时会休息一个20分钟。。
smoko 和 lunch 都是20分钟。。
哈哈。。20分钟哪够吃午餐啊？
所以很多时候都会带sandwich。。

看看这身打扮。。我都在怀疑这是不是我。。
那衣服有够大件。。
穿得整个人都有点肿。。
偶尔会拿到比较合身的啦。。

我发现我和一些食物工厂都不太有缘。。
这次明明是蔬菜厂但却被分到Seed Cutting部门。。
就是会把马铃薯切成小片后在拿去种。。
哈哈。。在食物或水果工厂工作可以有免费食物或水果嘛~

介绍一下这里工作流程~
第一个步骤他们会把一大箱的马铃薯倒进去。。
再通过输送带把马铃薯推出来。。
那个人就要把一些坏掉的马铃薯石头丢掉。。
这个步骤是最糟糕的。。灰尘超超超超超多的。。
好恐怖。。可悲的是大家都会轮流到这里做上两个小时。。

过后再经过这个机器把马铃薯切成小块。。
我的工作就是把从这个机器送出来的马铃薯切成更小块。。

哈哈。。只是尽量做而已啦。。
那么多又那么快。。
那里可能可以做到100%呢。。
都是靠feel切的。。
也不知多大片是perfect的。。哇哈哈~
Supervisors said ideal weight is 55g。。
哈哈。。神经病。。用眼睛可以知道是55g我就厉害咯。。

看看那几把刀。。
我们就是要拿着马铃薯在那把刀上切。。

头脑坏掉。。因为太久没用。。呵呵~

之后这些马铃薯会加上一些泥土。。
再输送到箱子里。。
而这一班人的工作其实跟我差不多。。
他们要finalize我们的工作。。
就我们没办法切的就输送到他们那里咯。。呵呵~

虽然是很废的工。。但却很重要哦。。
那个箱子能装上1000公斤的马铃薯种子。。
价值纽币1000块。。
种植之后值纽币6000块叻。。
所以说工厂工也是很重要的。。呵呵~
