China Visa in PROGRESS
Yes, I’m going to Guilin in another 19 days. Less than 3 weeks to go. ![]()
Suppose, I plan to do my visa application 1 month ago, but because of the A(H1N1) issue, my plan has been delayed as I’m worried I might cancel the trip if the A(H1N1) is getting more serious.
This trip has finally been confirmed on 16 July when Hwajing Travel Agent called me to confirm for the trip.
Well, I made the payment for the Passenger Handling Charges & tipping fees which was not included in the voucher (RM45 for Passenger Handling Charges & RM60 for tipping) on 16 July.
Then, its time to apply the Visa for the trip. Only 3 items is required for the Visa Application :-
- A valid passport
- One(1) Visa Application Form. [sample]
- One(1) Malaysian passport size photo (taken within 6 months) (cost me RM13)
China visa application is quite easy compared to Japan visa application that I did last year. Not much document required. Of course, passport must have enough validity left and have at least 1 blank visa page.
Even though the Visa fees is fixed @ RM30. But, when since I apply through Travel Agent, service charge is required. I check with few Travel Agents as stated belows :-
- Holidays Travels (Service Charge – RM50) ~ Wisma UOA
- Client Travels (Service Charge – RM30) ~ Wisma Central
- GTC Travel & Tours (Service Charge – RM20) ~ Wisma UOA
Of course, the nearest & cheapest is my choice. The ordinary China Visa Application should takes 4 days, but since I’m not in urgent, thus I’m agreed with the travel agent to collect my Visa on the first week of August as they will collect few application & submit to embassy together.
